About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Leads and develops state-of-the-art operational transfer pricing processes by driving automation and supporting initiatives for process improvements and co-ordinates the implementation of changes along the Novartis value chain and flow of funds.
- Defines the operational transfer pricing and funds flow strategy, leads and coordinates strategic projects in close alignment with relevant stakeholders (Corporate Tax/ Treasury, CCFOs of key countries)
- Leads the Global Funds Flow Team and coaches its members to maintain a center of excellence in all aspects of Funds Flow and operational Transfer Pricing
- Support to the business partners when evaluating business cases, such as M&A, business development transactions and supply point decisions/changes
- In collaboration with Tax oversees profitability of legal entity and establishes measures aiming to achieve the defined targets in the country organizations anticipating global as well as local regulations
- Provides and ensure accurate forecasts of margin contributions and impact on effective Tax Rate
- Oversees risk management and strives for an appropriate control environment ensuring financial compliance along the Novartis value chain
- Interact closely with International Trade to ensure compliance regarding customs declaration values for import/export and aligned to Novartis transfer pricing strategy
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Criteria:
- Master Degree in Economics or business administration with additional qualification in Corporate Tax & Transfer pricing.
- Extensive experience in operational Transfer pricing/Funds Flow within a Global organisation.
- Experienced in direct and indirect leadership across functions & geography.
- Fluent Business English both written & verbal.

- International Trade experience
